Diwali craft : Akash Butti
Hey guys, Happy Deepavali...! Deepavali or Diwali is the festival of lights. It symbolises victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance & Good over Evil. It is one of the most celebrated festival in India. And one of my favorites too!! We light Diyas or oil lamps and burst crackers to show the victory of light. And we eat lots of sweets! I've made a sky lantern (or Akash Butti as we call them). Here it is! Unfortunately, I didn't click photos of the process of making this. But I'll attach the video I watched to make it. Legend has it, that our ancestors and Gods visit us during these days. So, we hang these lights in the sky for them to find their way. There are many other rituals that are equally as interesting and delightful. There are different stories behind them too. Do check them out...! Click here to watch the YouTube video That's all for now! See you again, Namaskar!!
Character Designs 4: Cuddly Bear
So, I was recently re-watching 'The Jungle Book' animated movie and had a thought. Why not draw a bear as one of my characters in my character designing assignments? Because, you know, it's a 'bear' necessity...! Ok, so here you go. Cuddly Bear...! I used Kit Cloudkicker from Talespin as a pose reference here. Say hi! Looks like someone needs a hug Suspicious... Jolt!! Grrrrr....!!! I don't know anything... Honestly...! Honey...!! Such a heavy box... Why is there a carrot in my den? And where did all these boxes come from? Awww... Give him a big bear hug...! That's it for now... See ya...! ~~~~~~~~Chinmayee. S
