Kalighat Art
Kalighat Paintings or Kalighat Pat was an art form popular during the 19th century, in Bengal. This art style was mostly seen in the vicinity of the Kalighat Kali temples. These group of artists are called 'Patuas' A very famous artist in this style is Jamini Roy. I have taken his art work as reference here. Character Designs 1: Snowy Bunny
The Tom and Jerry show. This was every single person's childhood. The old cat and mouse rivalry was always a treat to watch and it still is. The animation used in this cartoon is called 'Traditional animation' in which you have to draw each frame... Each frame...!! It has wonderful character designs. I used Jerry mouse as a reference for my current character design assignment. I made a design of a rabbit and used Jerry's poses to draw my bunny. "Hello!!" "What's that I hear?" Self defence is necessary... "Time to eat...!" "... Ouch...!" And did you know? Tom was initially named 'Jasper' and Jerry was initially named 'Jinx'. Victory Cheer...!! I really like this pose.
