Character Designs 1: Snowy Bunny
The Tom and Jerry show. This was every single person's childhood. The old cat and mouse rivalry was always a treat to watch and it still is. The animation used in this cartoon is called 'Traditional animation' in which you have to draw each frame... Each frame...!! It has wonderful character designs. I used Jerry mouse as a reference for my current character design assignment. I made a design of a rabbit and used Jerry's poses to draw my bunny. "Hello!!" "What's that I hear?" Self defence is necessary... "Time to eat...!" "... Ouch...!" And did you know? Tom was initially named 'Jasper' and Jerry was initially named 'Jinx'. Victory Cheer...!! I really like this pose. "Mercy...!" Startled jump! "Stop making so much noise...!" The shapes that I used are: Circle for the head. Pear shape for the body. Elon...
Anatomy Drawing again!
The next assignment of the semester! Digital anatomy sketching...! We had to design a Male, a Female, and a Child character. Here is the process we use to draw... First, we have to draw a skull base anatomy i.e. a stick figure sketch. Second, we have to give volume to the skull base by drawing spheres, cylinders, cubes etc. (I have actually done the two steps together in the drawings, sorry...) Third, we add the muscle structure. Fourth, we design the features, the clothes, etc etc. And last, we colour it! So, here are the end results: For the child anatomy, I used this artist, LuigiL 's work as reference. I really liked the style. Anyway, that's all for now! Bye! ~~~~~~~Chinmayee. S
