Character Designs 1: Snowy Bunny

The Tom and Jerry show. This was every single person's childhood. The old cat and mouse rivalry was always a treat to watch and it still is.

The animation used in this cartoon is called 'Traditional animation' in which you have to draw each frame... Each frame...!! It has wonderful character designs.

I used Jerry mouse as a reference for my current character design assignment.

I made a design of a rabbit and used Jerry's poses to draw my bunny.

"Hello!!"

"What's that I hear?"

Self defence is necessary...

"Time to eat...!"

"... Ouch...!"

And did you know? Tom was initially named 'Jasper' and Jerry was initially named 'Jinx'.

Victory Cheer...!!

I really like this pose. "Mercy...!"

Startled jump!

"Stop making so much noise...!"

The shapes that I used are:
  • Circle for the head.
  • Pear shape for the body.
  • Elongated tear drops for the ears .
  • Sausages for the limbs.

The screenshots are from the episodes 'Puss Gets the Boot', 'The Midnight Snack' and 'The Night before Christmas'.

That's all for now...
